A few days ago husband braved the snowy Sea To Sky Highway to join his brother for skiing in Whistler. The first day of skiing was in rain.
It is called an inversion, which means snow at the bottom and rain at the top. It made the snow heavy and the skiing tiring.
This is an old photo of Marcel literally on the slope. He loves to ski and he is a very good skier. Conditions that would send me off the mountain in a heartbeat do not bother him.
I, on the other hand, am known as a fairweather skier who has miminal expertise on the slopes. I spend too much time in the snow and not on it!
Marcel is secure in his abilities and the knowledge that overnight the resort will be grooming the hills, moving the snow so that everyone can have the best experience possible the next day.
It is kind of like magic if you don't see the lights and the equipment doing their work.
So what if the universe works exactly like that? What if the universe is behind the scenes moving mountains of snow for you? You may not see it but on reflection you might just remember a moment that provided you with an experience that was exactly what you needed at the time.
Some of them you call magic and some of them you call "sh*t" -what the hell just happened?
But every single one of them will move you along in the direction that you were headed...until you choose something else. So what if you chose the joy and ease of a well groomed trail and followed the sign posts that tell you the best way to get down the proverbial hill?
Your feeling will show you the way...light...this way...heavy...change direction. This way-yes this way-this way...sigh.
And if you have an oops and fall-pick yourself up, check for the terrain and continue on. If you have chosen something then you have likely been grooming yourself for the next step. You have some expertise and the universe will support you in that next step.
Yep, you can do it because you are not alone. Because, YOU have the universe at your back!
