![]() Today on Facebook someone posted a video with an accompanying story told by workers in slaughter houses. As an animal lover it was disturbing. As an occasional meat eater it was disturbing. So, bear with me as I delve into this a little from another perspective and invite The Group in to offer commentary along the way. I am a firm believer that if we are to raise animals for food then they should be treated well along the way, including the slaughter process. I also believe that the animals know what their path is on planet earth, i.e. they are here for food. We have the opportunity to be in love during this. We have the opportunity to honour their gift. So here is a question for you to muse upon. If we pray over our meal does the animal know that? What if in the slaughter houses there were "people of faith" praying during the process and being in gratitude for the beings? Would that change the stories? As it is the story that I read was a reflection of the worker, of his unease with himself. When you are in love you cannot do "terrible' things to anyone or anything. It hurts too much to be that divided from our essence. I think it is much like being a soldier in war. You are in an environment with others, focussed on a single goal. I am sure that some of those soldiers do things-things that in society, back home, would be frowned upon, but because they are in the soldier culture they are drawn into actions that they wouldn't ordinarily do. Who wants to work in a slaughter house? What in them, besides money, draws them into that? What in them is so fearful that they take their frustrations out on the animals that are briefly in their care? So I know that there is a bigger picture. I know that children would hear these stories, watch the videos and be unable to eat meat. Is this where we are headed? Is this part of the new earth being birthed on our planet? The Group sees that possibility and also relays this. Some of those children being born will remember a life eating meat and will create change in the industry and some will become vegetarian. There is nothing inherently wrong or bad in eating meat. Praying over your food is a wonderful act that infuses your meal with the essence of gratitude. Your body will thank you for that. Your gratitude is an energy that infiltrates your world and all who are connected into the tapestry of your gratitude will feel that also and yes even the animals. We see possibilities and you dear ones are in free will. When the energy becomes stronger in one field then the possibilities become stronger. The best part of this story is that you can choose what you eat, how you are in gratitude and what you can do to affect change. Choice is a marvellous thing and prayers? Prayers of love change everything. Try not to be in resistance and make anyone wrong or bad, that locks in the energies and keeps them status quo and building. Be in allowance and love and love that which tugs at you into love. It is simple really. All you need is love and choice. Linda and The Group
